Prepress

Our Prepress Department is state of the art and on the leading edge of an ever-evolving industry. We handle all forms of files and our direct-to-plate workflow technology means our customers are on press, on time and on budget.

Press Capabilities

The Press Room contains four variable cut-off web presses, capable of printing up to eight colors, which means West End customers do not wait for press time. West End’s presses have variable cut off capabilities which enables us to cater to our customer’s every need, printing products such as:

• Roll to Roll Continuous Forms
• Fan-Folded Continuous Forms
• Letters – One to Eight Pages
• Inserts
• Reply Devices
• Brochures
• Buckslips
• Newsletters

We stock an industry leading variety of paper, including: white and various color offset, opaque, matte and gloss in weights from 40# Text to 80# Cover.

Our 30-year relationship with the world’s largest paper mill allows West End to expedite special paper orders quickly.

Bindery

Our bindery has 8 MBO folders and 2 computerized cutters to back up our large press department. We have the ability to produce both folded and flat-sheet products. We can also provide in-line folding which allows us to deliver your product right off the press and speed delivery time significantly.

Shipping 

After carefully packing your job to your specifications, West End’s own fleet of trucks protects and delivers your products on time. Freight is always included if delivered in VA, MD or DC.
